Ancelotti Praises Brazil’s Performance, Awaits Neymar’s Return
Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti reflected on his team’s 3-0 victory over Haiti in their second group stage match at the World Cup. Mateus Cunha netted twice in Philadelphia, while Vinicius Junior scored for the second consecutive game.
“It was a much more complete performance compared to our first match. In the second half, we controlled the game more, created numerous chances, and could have scored even more,” Ancelotti told reporters.
“This is exactly what we expected from this game: improved quality, fewer mistakes, greater attacking efficiency, and stronger defensive control. Of course, we still need to improve, and we will continue to do so as we prepare for the knockout stages,” he added.
The Italian coach also provided encouraging news on Neymar’s fitness status: “Neymar will train individually tomorrow, then rejoin the group on Monday. He will be ready for the match against Scotland.”
