Atalanta has once again fallen victim to the August curse, losing a forward just before the season’s kickoff. This time, the Bergamo club will be without striker Kamaldin Sulemana for at least two months.

The former Southampton player suffered a serious knee injury.

The Ghanaian winger limped off the pitch during a friendly match against Schalke 04.

The club’s statement confirmed that the left winger has sustained a grade II injury to the medial collateral ligament of his left knee.
