Cape Verde national team coach Bubista shared his thoughts following the 2-2 draw with Uruguay. This result marked the African side’s second point earned at the 2026 World Cup.
“I want to congratulate the team and all our players for the way they played, giving everything they had. We finished the match under very difficult conditions, with many players already suffering from cramps. But our team showed great courage, constantly pushing for victory, which makes us very happy.
We have confidence in all our players. We always make changes, and the team continues to approach matches with a strong desire to win and good organization. We should be proud of what we have already achieved,” the coach told FIFA’s official website.
