Carlos Queiroz insists Ghana will target victory over Croatia
Ghana’s head coach Carlos Queiroz has dismissed speculation that his team will settle for a draw against Croatia in their final group stage match. Ghana has already secured a spot in the round of 16 following Spain’s 1-0 victory over Uruguay.
“We are focused solely on one game, and that is against Croatia. Our aim is to achieve results,” Queiroz stated. “We want to play good football. With good football, we intend to be better than them on the pitch. That is what we will strive for—fight harder and be superior.”
“I have only one way to approach this game: to play for a win, and that is exactly what we will do,” he added. “We want to express ourselves and have the freedom to enjoy the game, delivering quality football throughout the full 90 minutes with the same focus and resilience.”
The Croatia vs. Ghana match kicks off tonight at 21:00 UTC.
