Spanish defender Pep Chavarria has officially joined London’s Chelsea, the club confirmed in a brief announcement on their website.

“Chelsea is pleased to announce the signing of Pep Chavarria from Spanish side Rayo Vallecano. The Spaniard has committed to a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2031 and will begin training with his new teammates at Cobham as part of the preparations for the 2026/27 season,” the club’s statement read.

During the 2025/26 La Liga campaign, the 28-year-old, standing 174 cm tall, featured in 33 league matches, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Additionally, he made eight appearances in the UEFA Conference League, contributing one assist.
