Chelsea has set a Friday evening deadline for Manchester City to finally submit their bid for midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
The Argentine international is among the candidates City are considering as a replacement for Rodri, who is reportedly on the verge of a move to Barcelona. Additionally, Fernandez is said to have a close relationship with City’s new head coach, Enzo Maresca.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea has informed both Manchester City and Fernandez’s representatives that they will only entertain offers for the 25-year-old Argentina player until 17:00 local time on Friday. It was also made clear that Fernandez’s price tag is set at £120 million, and he will not be sold for less. Therefore, City must meet this valuation by Friday or the deal will not proceed.
