Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored a stunning goal in his signature style against Aston Villa yesterday, opening the scoring in the UEFA Super Cup match. In response, the English club’s head coach, Unai Emery, did not hold back his praise for the opposing player.

“He scored a goal exactly the way he usually does. We tried to prevent that situation, but his skill and the quality of his shots are simply fantastic. It’s not for me to decide, but I believe he could win the Ballon d’Or,” Emery told DAZN Football.

It is worth recalling that Kvaratskhelia has been playing for Paris Saint-Germain since 2025. His contract runs until 2029, but all indications suggest that the Parisian club will extend his deal for the long term.
