The home stadium of Chornomorets Odesa sustained damage following a missile strike by the aggressor country on the city of Odesa. It is worth recalling that the “Sailors” returned to the Ukrainian Premier League after the 2025/26 season and have been hosting their matches at the Chornomorets Arena.

“The enemy attacked Odesa. Sports infrastructure was affected. There are preliminary reports of casualties. We are gathering further details,” wrote Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration.

Tomorrow, August 8, the second round Ukrainian Premier League match between Chornomorets and Kolos was scheduled to take place in Odesa. Kickoff was set for 10:00 UTC.
