Portuguese star forward Cristiano Ronaldo landed at Madrid airport following a scandalous departure from the Portugal national team camp in Copenhagen.

According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo arrived in the Spanish capital today, October 1, at 00:00 UTC, having officially withdrawn from the Portugal national team training camp.

Earlier reports suggested that the greatest player in Portugal history might retire from international football after a dispute with head coach Jorge Jesus. Despite Jesus denying any conflict, Ronaldo left the national team training session and flew out of Copenhagen.

The coach also announced at a press conference that Ronaldo would be absent from the upcoming match against Denmark.
