Santi Denia, the head coach of the Czech Republic national team, shared his expectations ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Nations League clash against Croatia. This match will mark his first official game in charge of the Czech side.
“It will be a challenging encounter. We understand that the Nations League is a highly demanding competition, both for us and our opponents. Our focus will be on improving our team’s performance. We’ve analyzed recent matches between the Czech Republic and Croatia, even though they have a new coach. Our goal is to play better as a cohesive unit.
We’re starting a new cycle, with the ultimate aim of qualifying for Euro 2028. We are aware that the entire nation is watching us, and we must give our all. Ahead of us stand two teams that have won World Cup medals [Spain and England], so the task is tough, but I believe we are on the right path. We need to demonstrate our desire to compete, our potential, and that we can achieve significant success,” the coach told UEFA’s official website.
