Diego Simeone, the head coach of Atlético Madrid, openly admitted that he sees no equal to Barcelona this season. The Catalan side currently leads La Liga with an impressive run of seven consecutive wins.
“It feels like Barcelona is playing a completely different sport than we are. They started the season without a traditional central striker. Then they moved Rafinha into that role, and he has already scored 12 goals. On top of that, Yamal, if I’m not mistaken, has netted 7,” Simeone remarked.
The Atlético boss also highlighted the fearless approach of their Spanish league rivals:
“They press you relentlessly even in your own stadium, deny you possession, and they aren’t afraid to take risks or concede goals. Right now, they are the best,” he told ESPN.
