Fabien Barthez, the former goalkeeper of the France national team, officially joined the coaching staff of the national squad on August 13, according to the French Football Federation (FFF).

Barthez will take on the role of goalkeeping coach within the revamped coaching team led by Zinedine Zidane. He joins a staff that includes David Bettoni, Hamidou Msaidié, Grégory Dupont, Stéphane Planque, Farid Tabet, and Clément Hiber.

It is worth recalling that the France national team will play its first match under Zidane’s leadership on September 25, facing Turkey away in the opening round of the UEFA Nations League group stage.
