The qualifying session for the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix has concluded, with George Russell securing pole position for the race. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will start from second and third on the grid, respectively.
Current championship leader Kimi Antonelli managed only fourth place this time around. Rounding out the top five was Max Verstappen, who also suffered a crash during qualifying.
Verstappen’s accident raised some eyebrows, particularly because Russell set his fastest lap under yellow flag conditions. Nevertheless, Russell narrowly avoided any investigation.
