Atletico Madrid traveled to France to face Olympique Marseille in a friendly match as part of their preparations for the upcoming La Liga season.

The visitors secured a 2-1 victory. Marseille took the lead in the 22nd minute through Igor Paixao. However, before halftime, Rodrigo Mendoza leveled the score for Atletico. The winning goal came in the 78th minute from Carlos Martin, sealing the win for the Madrid side.

It is worth noting that Julian Alvarez, who is reportedly eager to move from Atletico to Barcelona, was not included in Atletico’s squad for this fixture.
