Joazimar Vozinha Joins Shilton and Zoff as Over-40 World Cup Goalkeepers
Cape Verde’s national team goalkeeper has joined an elite group of players. Josimar Vozinha became the third goalkeeper aged 40 or older to keep two or more clean sheets in World Cup matches. Before him, only the legendary Peter Shilton (3) and Dino Zoff (2) had achieved this feat.
At this World Cup, Vozinha has already made 11 saves, ranking seventh among all goalkeepers. In terms of clean sheets, he trails only Simon (Spain) and Rangel (Mexico).
