Barcelona has identified a new destination for Marc-André ter Stegen, as the Catalan club is close to finalizing a one-year loan deal with Ajax Amsterdam.
The German goalkeeper recently fell out with coach Hansi Flick, and it became clear that Barcelona no longer sees him as part of their plans.
In January, ter Stegen moved to Girona but managed to feature in only two matches due to injury. This setback also prevented him from being included in Germany’s World Cup squad.
Ter Stegen is 34 years old, and his contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2028.
