However, today ESPN Argentina reignited the controversy.

According to their sources, Alvarez has not apologized to anyone at Atletico. Nor has he told his teammates that he is giving up on the transfer.

<ESPN Argentina claims that Alvarez is still pushing for the move and is demanding a meeting with Angel Gil Marin.
