After returning from vacation following his World Cup triumph with the Spanish national team, Marc Cucurella completed his first training session with Real Madrid. The former Chelsea left-back has signed a six-year contract with the royal club and expressed his excitement about the long-awaited move.
“Being here is a privilege, an honor, and above all, a reward for all the effort I’ve put into my career. It took a lot of patience, but finally, I am here. Few players can say they have worn this shirt. We’ve seen great legends; this is Europe’s leading club with an incredible history. As a child, I witnessed all those magical nights, the comebacks at the Bernabeu, and the Champions League trophies. When such opportunities arise, you simply can’t say no, so I had no doubts,” Cucurella told the Spanish media.
