Marseille Renames Stadium to SEPAK Velodrome After Sponsorship Change
The era of Orange Velodrome has come to an end. Despite the arrival of Stéphane Richard as president of Olympique de Marseille, the previous decade-long naming rights contract was not renewed. This Thursday, Marseille unveiled the new name of their stadium: SEPAK Velodrome.
The former sponsor paid approximately 2.5 million euros per season. The new partner, SEPAK Bank, has maintained a partnership with the club for forty years. The fresh agreement spans seven years, running until 2033, and the deal’s value surpasses the previous payments. For Marseille, currently undergoing restructuring, leadership changes, and budget optimization, this contract represents a significant signal of financial stability and the club’s continued appeal.
