Ukrainian basketball player Maksym Shulha has signed with Real Madrid. After spending a year in the NBA, the guard is now returning to Europe.

Shulha was selected by the Boston Celtics in the second round of the 2025 draft. He spent a season in the Development League, but the club decided not to renew his contract.

Following that, Shulha sought opportunities with the Golden State Warriors and was included in their Summer League roster. However, he did not secure a spot on the team.

Interestingly, Shulha has previous experience playing in Spain early in his career. His arrival at Real Madrid coincides with the recent departure of another Ukrainian player, Alex Len.
