Milan Set to Profit if Man City Sells Midfielder Reijnders

AC Milan stands to gain a significant financial boost from the potential transfer of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from Manchester City to Nottingham Forest.

According to Calciomercato, Nottingham Forest are currently in negotiations with Manchester City over the 28-year-old midfielder’s move to the City Ground.

After two impressive seasons at San Siro, Reijnders joined Manchester City last summer for £46.5 million. Despite signing a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, the Dutchman could leave the English club after just one year.

Reijnders started his Premier League career with promise but fell out of favor during the 2025/26 season under Pep Guardiola. Although the Spanish coach departed the club at the end of last season, the former Milan player appears destined to sever ties with his current team.

Nottingham Forest narrowly avoided relegation last season and are determined to avoid another difficult campaign. To strengthen their squad, they are reportedly preparing a £55 million offer for Reijnders.

Should this transfer go through, AC Milan will receive approximately €14 million thanks to a sell-on clause included in the deal that sent Reijnders to Manchester City last summer. This sum will provide a valuable financial boost for the Rossoneri as they look to reinforce their squad.
