Newcastle defender Lewis Hall has returned from the training camp in La Manga carrying a minor injury.
The 21-year-old left-back has been a summer transfer target for Manchester United, but the Magpies have already rejected an initial bid from Michael Carrick’s side.
Newcastle remain firm on their stance that Hall will not be sold this summer, having already lost Bruno Guimarães, Sandro Tonali, and Anthony Gordon. The departure of Eddie Howe as head coach has sparked fresh speculation about Hall’s future.
However, the club from northeast England has made it clear that Hall is not for sale this summer and will play a key role in the plans of the Magpies’ new manager, Matthias Jaissle.
According to Chronicle Live, both Hall and his defensive teammate Fabian Schär have been given time to recover following the La Manga training camp. The England international has been training separately from the squad and will miss the new head coach’s first match against Valencia this evening.
