Nico Paz will remain at Como for another season and will not be transferring to Real Madrid this summer, confirmed the Argentine midfielder’s father, Pablo Paz. Currently, Nico is representing Argentina at the World Cup, having already featured in two matches.
“Real Madrid is very keen on having Nico, but they believe that spending another season in Italy, with the opportunity to compete in the Champions League, is the best path for his development,” Pablo Paz told the Italian media.
Last season, Nico scored 12 goals and provided 7 assists, helping Como secure a fourth-place finish. A return to Spain remains a possibility in the future, as the buyout option is still active.
