Nasser Al-Khelaifi has denied rumors suggesting he plans to run for FIFA president in 2027. Earlier reports from British media had named the PSG chairman as UEFA’s main contender against Gianni Infantino.

An official spokesperson for the Qatari executive issued a clear statement addressing the speculation.

“Mr. Al-Khelaifi has absolutely no ambitions, intentions, or interest in the FIFA presidency, nor in the media hype surrounding it. On the contrary, he will continue to support all global and European football institutions quietly and constructively.”

European football bodies have strongly opposed Infantino’s controversial commercial initiatives.
