A video released by El Correo shows the World Cup’s best player walking through the heart of the Spanish capital dressed casually. Despite his low-key appearance, a few fans recognized him. Initially, a man accompanied him briefly, seemingly acting as a temporary escort. After this person left, fans began approaching Rodri for photos and autographs. Growing frustrated, he refused to stop or engage with them. The persistence of the supporters clearly made him uncomfortable.
At that moment, a patrol of the National Police arrived on the scene. The officers asked if everything was alright, to which Rodri responded emotionally, “Are you going to help me or what? They are following me everywhere.” Without waiting to speak further with the police, the beleaguered fans eventually dispersed.
