Roma Advances Mason Greenwood Transfer with €50 Million Marseille Deal
Artem Dovbyk’s club Roma is making every effort to secure the signing of Mason Greenwood before the end of June. The club has devised a structured payment plan aimed at meeting Marseille’s financial demands.
Gian Piero Gasperini himself remains in regular contact with the player to ensure his readiness for the move.
Roma is prepared to immediately pay Marseille between €15-20 million by June 30, with an additional €35 million—split between a fixed sum and bonuses—scheduled to be paid in several installments.
This payment structure has been specifically designed to allow Marseille to record the full transfer fee in the 2026 financial year, thereby complying with UEFA’s capital gains tax requirements and avoiding further sanctions.
