Manchester United Acquires Land for New 100,000-Seat Stadium Development
Manchester United has secured the majority of the land required for the construction of their new 100,000-seat stadium, marking a significant milestone in the club’s long-term plan to transform the Old Trafford area.
The club has acquired a 25-acre site located approximately 350 meters northwest of the current stadium. United will work directly with the businesses affected by these plans to support them throughout the transition period.
The new stadium, set to become the largest sporting venue in the United Kingdom, is expected to act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the surrounding area, enhancing the atmosphere, accessibility, and convenience for all visitors.
The redevelopment project, spanning 370 acres, is projected to deliver around 15,000 new homes, including affordable housing, generate 48,000 new local jobs and over 90,000 jobs nationwide, while contributing more than £7 billion annually to the UK economy.
