Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his emotions following the commanding 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan. By scoring twice, the 41-year-old forward not only secured his team’s first win of the tournament but also became the first player in history to score in six different World Cups. Ronaldo is now just 25 goals shy of reaching the milestone of 1,000 career goals.
“I always strive to support the national team and give my all on the pitch. We are going through an important phase, and today we played much better than last time. I was really looking forward to scoring at this World Cup.
