Austria dropped their first points in Group B3 after a 2-2 draw with Ireland. Remarkably, the visitors trailed 0-2 at halftime without mounting any counterattack.

However, the break revitalized Austria, who clawed their way back into the match with goals from Prass and Gregorich to secure a share of the points.

The game was twice interrupted during the first half as spectators threw tennis balls bearing Palestinian flags onto the pitch, continuing a political protest that had begun the day before in the match against Israel.

From a sporting perspective, Ireland now has 4 points and shares second place with Kosovo. Austria, having accumulated 7 points, comfortably leads the group.
