Captain Eldor Shomurodov ignited the excitement early in the match by scoring a stunning goal. Receiving an excellent pass from Abbosbek Fayzullaev, he skillfully chipped the ball over DR Congo goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi.
However, the African side turned the game around in the second half with three goals, securing their first-ever qualification for the knockout stage. Unfortunately for them, they immediately faced England in the next round.
