Belgium head coach Mark van Bommel reflected on his team’s commanding 3-0 victory over Turkey in yesterday’s UEFA Nations League match. The win was secured by a brace from Kevin De Bruyne and a goal from Romelu Lukaku.
“I am very pleased with the 3-0 result. At times, we made mistakes in possession that gave our opponents the impression they could create chances. The game had its ups and downs, and during those moments, we didn’t exert enough control on the pitch. We allowed the opposition opportunities to stage a comeback for a long time, although I never felt we were in danger of losing.
Kevin De Bruyne always wants to play. Against Italy, France, and today, he has been in excellent form. He radiates joy, which is evident in the goals he scores,” the coach told UEFA’s official website.
