Ticket prices for the World Cup matches continue to soar in the United States, with the record cost for the final now reaching an astonishing $32,970.
Meanwhile, the majority of Mexico’s population is reacting negatively to the tournament for an obvious reason—the host nation’s fans are largely unable to attend the games. This is due to the country’s average salary being just over $400.
“You can’t go watch a college game in the US, let alone a professional match of a certain level, for less than $300,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino defended himself amid a relentless wave of criticism.
