Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh claimed the gold medal at the European Championships in Birmingham, marking her third continental title.

Mahuchikh kicked off the competition by clearing 1.91 meters on her first attempt. She then successfully cleared 1.95 meters and 1.97 meters, with no other competitor managing to surpass the final height.

Iryna Herashchenko finished in fifth place with a clearance of 1.91 meters.
