Chelsea is set to sign Granit Xhaka from Sunderland. The 33-year-old midfielder caught the attention of the Blues following an impressive season.
Xhaka previously worked under Chelsea’s coach Javi Alonso at Bayer. He made the move to England last summer for a fee of £13 million.
An agreement has already been reached between the London club and the Swiss international. The next step is to settle on the price Sunderland will demand.
Xhaka is expected to bring valuable experience to Chelsea’s young squad, which currently has an average age of just 23.8 years.
