France forward Ousmane Dembélé shared his thoughts following his first match under the management of Zinedine Zidane. The coach marked his debut with a 1-0 victory over Turkey.
“What did the coach expect from us? Good football and strong communication on the pitch. He implemented his 4-3-3 formation, and I believe we played a very solid game and showed strength. It wasn’t easy, but we accomplished the task. Now, we are preparing for the match against Belgium on Monday,” Dembélé said, having played as a central striker.
“My role in the center? I felt very comfortable. I have been playing centrally all season at Paris Saint-Germain, so it’s nothing new for me,” he added.
This suggests that Zidane intends to build on what Dembélé is already doing at Paris Saint-Germain rather than disrupt his established rhythm.
