Galatasaray Officially Inquires About Dynamo Kyiv’s Matvei Ponomarenko
Istanbul’s Galatasaray has officially approached Kyiv’s Dynamo with an inquiry regarding the potential transfer of young forward Matvey Ponomarenko. The Turkish club, a regular participant in European competitions and known for its ambitious goals in the Süper Lig, views the 19-year-old Ukrainian as a promising addition to their attacking lineup, according to various Turkish sources.
At this stage, negotiations have only just begun, and specific figures or transfer details have not been disclosed. However, experts are confident that the offer will be quite generous—at least by Turkish financial standards.
Meanwhile, Dynamo’s president Igor Surkis has made it clear that he does not intend to part with his rising star unless the price is right. Earlier reports indicated that Dynamo might consider releasing Ponomarenko for a fee of 30 million euros.
