Roma’s head coach Gian Piero Gasperini shared his thoughts on the club’s summer transfer activity. Among the new arrivals is Santiago Castro, who was signed as a replacement for Artem Dovbik, now on loan at Bologna.
“Looking at the squad, we’ve swapped Celik for Molina, though we still need to see what Molina can bring. Dovbik was replaced by Castro, and in my opinion, Castro will be a pleasant surprise – it was a good deal. Then we added Konstantinos Koulierakis, who I believe is an interesting option to complete our defensive lineup.
If we consider numbers alone, I feel we still need one more player. We know who to target and how to finalize the deals, but everything will depend on the circumstances. Certainly, there are good opportunities. We are pursuing and negotiating for very young but important players. That is our main focus,” Gasperini explained.
