ESPN journalist Alen van Hilten reports that Ukrainian forward Artem Stepanov is likely to lose his starting position at Utrecht in the upcoming season. The Dutch club recently appointed Portuguese coach Antonio Correia as their new manager.

“Every drill the coach implements fits into his overall strategy, and any mistakes are corrected immediately. Some players adapt more easily than others. For instance, Ukrainian forward Artem Stepanov is frequently criticized for his inability to press at the right moments. As a result, the 18-year-old striker, who was a regular starter towards the end of last season, will probably be left out of the lineup at the beginning of the new campaign,” van Hilten explains.

It is worth noting that Stepanov is on loan at Utrecht from Bayer for the 2026/27 season.
