Liverpool has confirmed a 31-player squad for their upcoming tour of the United States. This group includes several injured players.
Earlier today, the Reds departed for their training base in Chicago to begin preparations for friendly matches against Sunderland, Wrexham, and Leeds United.
Among those traveling are central defender Giovanni Leoni, forward Hugo Ekitike, and right-back Conor Bradley, all of whom are still recovering from long-term injuries.
They will continue their rehabilitation in the US alongside midfielders Wataru Endo and Stefan Bajcetic, as well as goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros. New head coach Andoni Iraola plans to use this trip to build team spirit, which is why even players who won’t return until after the New Year are included.
At the same time, Liverpool will be without most of their international players. It is expected that Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, and Ryan Gravenberch will join the squad ahead of the second match against Wrexham, while Alisson Becker may return for the final game.
