Demichelis expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, stating, “I was impressed by the conversations with the club and its sporting philosophy. RB Leipzig is an ambitious club with a clear identity, outstanding talents, and a determination to continuously improve at the highest level. This is exactly the challenge I was looking for.”
He added, “I have great respect for the work that has been done here. I want to build on this foundation and take the next steps together with the team. My goal is to create a squad that plays bold, intense, and exciting football, takes responsibility on the pitch, and inspires the people of Leipzig with its passion.”
Looking ahead, Demichelis is also eager to compete in the Champions League with RB Leipzig. “Testing ourselves against the best teams in Europe is an incredible challenge, and this is precisely where a club with ambitions and quality like RB Leipzig belongs. I look forward to sharing those special evenings with the team.”
