Pep Guardiola Plans to Relax and Unwind Away from Football Management
Josep Guardiola, the former manager of Manchester City, has admitted that returning to football and taking charge of another team will be a difficult challenge for him.
“Honestly, even I don’t know what I will be doing next. Coming back will be tough. That’s how I feel today. It will be hard to return. I need to refresh my memory on many things that happened in my personal life,” Guardiola revealed in an interview with the Daily Mirror.
However, there is one activity he plans to dedicate himself to during this period:
“I need some time alone, doing various things. Especially when you sit and watch time pass by, or fly past you. In Catalonia, there’s a word ‘badar’ which means to relax and lean back in your chair. That’s what I intend to do. It’s one of my main goals. Life isn’t just about football, is it? It’s also about sleeping until 10 a.m., going to cafes, taking two days off, going for walks—anything really. I haven’t had time to read, watch series, or travel.”
