On Sunday, media outlets linked to Trabzonspor circulated reports claiming that the club was finalizing a high-profile transfer for Mohamed Salah. However, the Turkish club quickly dismissed these rumors. According to club president Ertuğrul Doğan, Mohamed Salah has not agreed to join Trabzonspor.
Salah left Liverpool as a free agent at the end of last season.
On Sunday, the publication A Spor directly questioned Doğan about the latest developments. The Trabzonspor president responded, “There is no agreement. Regarding any plans to bring him to Trabzon, no such plans exist; nothing of the sort.
If such a plan did exist, we would have provided information, informed the press, and so forth. There is nothing like that.
Salah is a highly professional and very successful player, known worldwide. He is among the players with the best careers.
Of course, who wouldn’t want Salah? That’s a separate question.
But at this moment, there is no agreement involving our club. I emphasize this, even if I might not be expressing myself clearly enough: there is no such agreement.”
