Željko Ljubenović, the well-known Serbian coach, has not ruled out a return to Ukraine following the premature end of his tenure with Georgian club FC Gagra.
“Honestly, I currently have no offers from clubs nor any concrete plans. That’s just how a coaching career goes sometimes. But I hope this phase won’t last long. Offers from Ukrainian Premier League clubs? You know how I feel about Ukraine. I feel great in that country and would gladly work there again,” Ljubenović stated.
He joined FC Gagra last autumn but was unable to lift the team beyond 5th place in the Georgian championship. Although the official paperwork for his departure has yet to be finalized, the club president has already announced the decision to part ways with the Serbian coach. In Ukraine, Ljubenović previously served as head coach of Minai and Vorskla.
