Head coach Will Hardy is more focused on how well the team’s rotation functions as a whole rather than which players begin the game on the floor. This approach leaves room for flexibility in the starting lineup.
“I really view the game as 48 minutes. I understand that starting is important to players, and sometimes it matters for building a certain image, but everything can change in just five and a half minutes of play. Of course, I want the first 5-6 minutes to be played at a high level, but we also need to start thinking about when substitutions will begin, who will come on the court, and who won’t. It’s about which group of players will be on the floor at any given moment,” Hardy explained.
