Atalanta midfielder Marco Palestra is set to join Chelsea. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, all parties have reached a verbal agreement on the transfer.
“Marco Palestra is moving to Chelsea — the deal is done! A verbal agreement has been reached between all sides. Atalanta will receive over €55 million plus a sell-on commission, and the talented Italian right-back will sign a long-term contract.
Chelsea has outmaneuvered Inter to secure the signing for manager Javi Alonso,” Romano reported.
During the 2025/26 season, 21-year-old Palestra was on loan at Cagliari, where he scored one goal and provided four assists across 37 appearances.
