Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is among five players who have withdrawn from the England squad due to injuries ahead of the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures. Rice has already returned to his club.

The England national team confirmed that five players initially called up by manager Thomas Tuchel for the forthcoming matches have since been ruled out.

Rice joins Newcastle United‘s Tino Livramento, Chelsea‘s Cole Palmer, and the Manchester United duo of Koby Maim and Marcus Rashford, all of whom will miss England’s Nations League games over the next two weeks.

England stated that all five withdrawals are injury-related, prompting the call-ups of James Garner and Morgan Gibbs-White as replacements.
